New IST Management Team

Orono, ME – August 30, 2007 – Intelligent Spatial Technologies, Inc. (iST), a technology leader in Location-based Services for mobile users, is pleased to announce the expansion of its management team.

Ted Broers will be joining iST as our new CEO. Ted brings experience working with developing businesses as Managing Partner, MentorVest LLC and international business experience as Director of Corporate Business Development at National Semiconductor. Additionally he has experience in middle market mergers and acquisitions while a Principal at Silicon Valley Bank's Alliant Partners.

Orono, ME – August 20, 2007 – Intelligent Spatial Technologies, Inc. (iST), a technology leader in Location-based Services for mobile users, has been granted its first patent for the iPointer™ Mobile Search and Content Delivery Platform.

According to iST's CTO & Founder Chris Frank, “This new patent solidifies the iPointer's™ presence in the market as an innovative mobile local search and content delivery platform. It also affirms our position in enabling wireless operators and content providers to offer mobile local search solutions for cell phones.”

ORONO -- Two UMaine business students who have started their own businesses through the university's Target Technology Innovation Center received $5,000 seed grants from the Portland-based Libra Future Fund earlier this month.

Rory Eckardt of Orono, beginning his third semester in the Maine Business School MBA program, received a grant to assist with the development of his year-old forestry consulting business. William Sulinski of Dedham, with business partner Matthew Rodrigue, a 2004 engineering graduate from Wilton, devised conceptual plans for producing and marketing a new device to improve the efficiency of home heating oil delivery. Sulinski will graduate in December with an undergraduate degree in financial economics.

Chris Frank: SBA's Young Entrepreneur of the Year

Intelligent Spatial Technology (iST) founder and president, Chris Frank, has been awarded with Maine’s 2006 Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Small Business Association (SBA). Because of his work with the iPointer, Chris will be honored with this award at the SBA celebration dinner on May 24th at the Spectacular Events Center in Bangor. MAINE YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR

Augusta, ME - Chris Frank has been named Maine’s 2006 Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). A leader in the Bangor community, Frank is the president and founder of Orono-based Intelligent Spatial Technologies (iST). He is a recent graduate of the Bangor Region Leadership Institute and is a founding member of FUSION Bangor, an organization formed to engage young people in community leadership.

IST published in the March 2006 issue of GPSWorld magazine

Intelligent Spatial Technologies (IST) has recently been published by GPSWorld magazine in the March 2006 issue for the iPointer project. This late-breaking GPS technology allows information about specific sites to be displayed on a handheld computer and was developed by IST at the University of Maine. Read more at the following site:
