The Target Information Technology Incubator is a project of the University of Maine’s Department of Industrial Cooperation .
The Incubator was established by the University as a means to stimulate economic development through the commercialization of research being conducted at the University and within the private sector community.
The University has the intellectual and laboratory resources necessary to evaluate ideas and solve problems. The University works hand-in-hand with the private sector to apply the knowledge that faculty has gained through their research.
Using UMaine’s research and development strengths as an economic development tool, Incubator tenants and affiliates will be able to leverage those resources as a means to grow and ultimately, graduate into their own business settings.
